Prof. Seri Supratid, a water expert and the Joint Committee (IPCC), analyzed that it will take approximately 10 days for the floodwater in Chiang Rai Province to drain completely because currently, more than 350 million cubic meters of water from Myanmar is gradually flowing into the Kok River and draining into the Mekong River. If the maximum drainage rate is 40 million cubic meters per day, it will continue to decrease.
